Through the Headphones

Like my tastes in books, my tastes in music also vary. I can’t say I like one particular genre or artist only, because that’ll be a bold-faced lie. What I can say is that I like certain songs, either for their lyrics or tunes, or both. For this reason, I’m blogging this week about 2 songs that were sung by Savage Garden, that I absolutely adore.

The first is “Truly, Madly, Deeply”. The words that stuck with me were:

"I'll be your dream I'll be your wish I'll be your fantasy.

I'll be your hope I'll be your love

Be everything that you need.

I love you more with every breath

Truly madly deeply do."

The second is “I Knew I Loved You”. The words that stuck with me were:

"Maybe it's intuition but some things you just don't question

Like in your eyes, I see my future in an instant
……
There's just no rhyme or reason

Only the sense of completion

And in your eyes, I see the missing pieces I'm searching for"
